Century, Idaho
EMX’s Century Project targets an intrusion-related gold system within Idaho’s largest gold producing region, which has more >2.5 Moz of historical gold production. The Century Project lies along strike of Gold Hill Mine, which saw >400 koz Au underground production. The land position encloses 5-km strike length of intense Au-rich quartz-sericite-pyrite altered Cretaceous granite, which is cut by Eocene plutons and porphyry dike swarms. The Century project is geologically similar to the Stibnite district in Idaho6 (~80 km to the NE) and the Donlin Gold Deposit, Alaska.
EMX and historical rock chip sampling identified strongly elevated Au values (EMX rock chips 0.02-27.8 g/t Au, n=22 avg. 2.41 g/t Au; historical rock chips from 0.54- 43.9 g/t Au, n=11 avg. 23.07 g/t Au). Notable intercepts from historical shallow RC drilling include 24.4m @ 1.2 g/t Au, 26m @ 1.0 g/t Au, and 12.2m @ 1.7 g/t Au, however, the depth of intercepts and true thicknesses are not reported. EMX recently completed a ridge-and-spur soil sampling campaign of over 1,500 samples over the property.
Note: Historical productions values for the district are cited from “Principal Gold-Producing Districts of the United States” and were published in Professional Paper 610 (USGS: Koschmann and Bergendahl, 1968). Production values from Gold Hill Mine and historical rock chip sampling results from the Century Project land position are in unpublished exploration reports and maps from Century Gold Fields (1988). Historical drill results were reported by Cactus West Exploration in a news release on December 1, 1989. EMX has not performed sufficient work to verify the published production information, and these data cannot be verified as being compliant with NI43-101 standards, but EMX believes this information is considered reliable and relevant.
