San Guillermo
The San Guillermo project in northern Chile is situated along strike of the Dominador Fault Zone and lies within the Paleocene volcanic belt, which is host to several major precious metals and copper deposits including the multi-million ounce El Peñon LS epithermal vein district.
The San Guillermo property surrounds Austral Gold’s Amancaya LS epithermal gold-silver mine. The Central Vein area at Amancaya, which contains both LS veins and breccias, extends to the south onto the San Guillermo property, where historic drilling was completed by the original property owner. Drill results included mineralized intercepts from several LS epithermal veins and associated breccias, but continuity was not proven at the time. Veining at Amancaya also extends to the north onto the property, where a separate vein swarm occurs.
EMX acquired the 0.5% NSR at San Guillermo from Revelo Resources in 2020 (see EMX Press Release dated March 26, 2020). The current property owner is Austral Gold Ltd. (TSX-V: AGLD).
