Colla Kananchiari

Colla Kananchiari, formerly known as Bronce West, is located along the Coastal Cordillera of central Chile. Colla Kananchiari is an early-stage exploration property located immediately west of the historically important El Bronce de Petorca mining district.

A large hydrothermal alteration zone (ZAH) covers much of the northern portion of the property and extends off the property to the northeast. Limited historical drilling and geophysical surveys suggest that the exposed hydrothermal alteration corresponds to an underlying porphyry system. Other occurrences include zoned, peripheral HS epithermal veining.

Outside of the ZAH, there are two main targets at Colla Kananchiari – Rosita and Zapallar. Historic drilling at these targets was completed by a previous property owner. The Rosita area lies on the margins of the ZAH and comprises extensive color anomalies marked by surficial FeOx, with some restricted zones of discontinuous quartz veins with limonite and hematite. Some areas have more extensive silicification and CuOx. The main vein structures trend NW-SE, and some have minor artisanal workings where CuOx are found together with minor disseminations in volcanic host rocks of chalcopyrite, bornite and pyrite. Three drill holes at Rosita intercepted low-grade Au and anomalous Cu (best intercept – FROD-01: 10m @ 0.59% Cu and 0.01 g/t Au from 40 to 50m). The Zapallar area in the south of the property comprises one principal, and several subsidiary, faulted quartz veins, which are banded in nature and contain Cu and Au. Thirteen drill holes at Zapallar cut several structures ranging from 1m to 37m with anomalous Au and Cu (best intercepts – FZAD-02: 4m @ 4.4 g/t Au from 16 to 20m and FZAD-01: 16m @ 1.84% Cu from 20 to 56m). True widths unknown.*

Surface rock-chip sampling completed by Minera Fuego in selected areas returned some good Cu values from structures, with variable Au and Ag, mostly from the named vein zones.

Recommended next steps for exploration at Colla Kananchiari include detailed geologic and alteration mapping, as well as a soil geochemistry survey, to further evaluate the ZAH and epithermal occurrences.

The property is currently owned and operated by Masglas America Corp., a private Chilean company. EMX acquired the 1% NSR on precious metals and 0.5% NSR on base metals at Colla Kananchiari from Revelo Resources in 2020 (see EMX Press Release dated March 26, 2020).

*Historic drill results from Minera Fuego. EMX has not performed sufficient work to verify the project’s historical drill results reported above, and these data cannot be verified as being compliant with NI43-101 standards, but EMX believes this information is considered reliable and relevant.

**Nearby mines and deposits provide context for the project, but do not necessarily indicate similar size, styles or grade of mineralization within the project.
